Why We Carry the Bummy Stick

The 10′ Bummy Stick is a great middle-ground surf rod — lighter and easier to fish than the big 12′–13′ rods, but still with enough backbone for everyday surf conditions. We like it for lighter pompano rigs, casting artificials, and fishing the closer troughs where a long heavy rod can be overkill. It’s one of those rods that’s simply fun to fish.

Its 2–6 oz rating makes it especially useful for pompano, whiting, redfish, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, and other nearshore species.
