The Panhandle Surf Fishing Bead Pompano Rig is one of our go-to presentations for targeting pompano, whiting, redfish, and other species cruising the Florida Panhandle surf.

Beads add just enough color and attraction around your bait without making the presentation overly bulky. They’re a great choice when you want something more noticeable than a Naked Rig while still keeping your setup simple and natural.

Why We Fish Bead Rigs

Pompano can be incredibly color-oriented, and what they’re interested in can change from one day—or even one hour—to the next. That’s why we like having several bead colors ready to go.

When we’re fishing multiple rods, we’ll often run different colors until the fish start telling us what they want. Once one color begins producing, we can adjust the rest of the spread accordingly.

These rigs are designed around the same type of presentations we use here along the Florida Panhandle, whether we’re fishing the first trough for pompano and whiting or sending a bait farther out looking for another school of fish.
